Sylvester O'Halloran Perioperative Symposium

The Sylvester O'Halloran Perioperative Symposium takes place in Limerick from Thursday, 27 February to Saturday, 1 March 2025. The programme includes a great line up of masterclasses, plenary sessions and lectures that will be of interest to all specialties.

London Reception for RCSI Alumni, Fellows and Members

On Friday, 28 February 2025, RCSI will host a reception at the Royal Society of Medicine, exclusively for RCSI Alumni, Fellows and Members. This event, which was really well-attended in 2024, will provide an opportunity to meet, mingle and network in the lovely surrounds of the RSM at the heart of London. 

Capacity is limited so register now to avoid disappointment. 

 

Six Nations Special Event - Save the Date: 15 March 2025

Early next week, we will be circulating details of our planned Rugby Watch Party in RCSI. Join us on Saturday, 15 March to enjoy expert analysis from two former Ireland Internationals before sitting back to enjoy food and refreshments as you watch Ireland v Italy as well as England v Wales on the big screen in College Hall. Save the date now!

 

AIMS Summit Chicago - Alumni, Fellows and Members Reception

The hugely successful AIMS Summit will take place in Chicago on Thursday, 13 and Friday, 14 March. This is the first time for the Summit to go stateside and there is an excellent programme of talks, panel discussions and workshops planned across the two days – read here for more information.  

Several RCSI Fellows and Members have been involved in the establishment and growth of the summit with many more participating as speakers and attendees. In honour of this strong connection between the AIMS Summit and RCSI Fellows and Members, we would like to invite you to attend a social gathering which takes place on the evening of Thursday, 13 March from 6.30 - 9.00pm (venue tbc shortly). There you will get to connect and mingle with colleagues, classmates and speakers. Light bites and refreshments will be provided.

Lunchtime Talk Series - The Eyes of Ireland: How eye diseases have shaped the literary, cultural and political history of Ireland

Join us on Friday, 21 March at 12.30pm for our first Lunchtime Talk of 2025!

We are delighted to announce that Mr Tim Horgan FRCSI, Consultant Ophthalmologist, University Hospital Kerry, will deliver a talk entitled The Eyes of Ireland: How eye diseases have shaped the literary, cultural and political history of Ireland. 

Mr Horgan has lectured widely on the topic of ophthalmic diseases in Ireland's history and can be considered the authority on the subject. All are welcome to join us for what will be a fascinating talk. Registration is essential - please RSVP by Tuesday, 18 March
