Course Director and Founder, Professor Rory McConn Walsh FRCSI, Consultant in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Beaumont Hospital said “congratulations to everybody concerned on a very successful 25 years of the Temporal Bone & Mastoid Surgery Dissection Course. It was the first clinical course to be held in RCSI, and I couldn’t have done it without the involvement of the Department of Surgical Affairs, Department of Anatomy, Faculty from all over the country, the extern from the UK and all our sponsors.”
This one-day course is part of the Higher Surgical Training programme in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and is a great opportunity for trainees to develop their dissection skills. The course is a mixture of lectures and practice with a large number of faculty in attendance for supervision and support. The course runs two days back-to-back so all trainees from ST3-ST8 can attend.
Mel Corbett FRCSI, said “it is a great opportunity to practice before you get into an Otology job and to meet all the Otology trainers.”
Thank you to Professor Rory McConn Walsh, Faculty, RCSI Facilitators and Sponsors.
